Roo McKeller presents... Contemplations. A journey into some of the most beautiful progressive sounds around, every 2nd Monday from 8pm on Safehouse Radio.
For as long as he can remember, music has always been Roo's vehicle for expressionism. It is without doubt the universal language of us all, the one thing that stays when everyone else has gone. Over the last 30 years, Roo has honed his skills as a vocalist, songwriter, music producer & recording & mixing engineer & is now considered by many to be the top in his field in the South West. He has written songs, produced music & recorded for numerous established acts around the world.
Having cut his teeth on synth pop & rock as a teenager, Roo has been performing on the live music scene ever since as a keyboard player & singer, but it wasn't until the mid 90's that he was introduced to the club scene & fell in love with the dance genre immediately. With the kind generosity of a DJ friend, he picked up vinyl DJing very quickly, securing regular slots at The Monastery & Claire's in Torquay, The Dance Academy & The Candy Store in Plymouth & numerous other venues & festivals.
Roo's first love was Hard House & has had several releases under the alter egos Mad Max & The House Of Light. His early tracks saw him secure number 1 spots around the world in the Hard House charts & also airplay on BBC Radio 1. His biggest track, Bring Out The Gimp (Shock Records) topped the Hard House charts around the world & featured in the sets of many of the biggest DJ's at the time.
Through the natural course of inquisitiveness & open mindedness, Roo eventually discovered his true passion, Progressive House & Progressive Trance & has had several Progressive Trance releases under another alter ego Metamorph over the last 5 years. Since being invited to join Safehouse Radio, Roo is now a major part of the admin & production team & has had the opportunity to witness firsthand the current trends of Progressive by following huge names such as Airwave, Galestian, Dezarate & Eelke Kleijn, who all have shows on the station & as such is now leaning more towards their style of Progressive production for the true freedom of expression it brings. He is now set to release tracks on major progressive labels under his own name, the first of which is due out late 2020.

All Day | Every Day only on Safehouse Radio
Join Eelke Kleijn for the Days Like Nights radio show from 3pm every Sunday, delivering a selection of his favourite records of the moment. He often features live mixes from his gigs around the world and guest mixes.
Eelke Kleijn is a rare talent. With work stretching across film scores, deep live shows and incredibly well formed production, he crosses a boundary from electronic producer and into a true modern day composer. With peers and tastemakers standing up for this unmistakable imagination, the Rotterdam based music maker’s potential has no bounds.
Eelke has released two albums and an array of first class remixes for the likes of John Legend and originals including his single “Celebrate Life” that was hand picked as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Essential New Tune.’ Sony to Eskimo Recordings to Suara have seen the young Dutchman’s vision in productions become world heard.
Defying limitations as an electronic artist, his work as a Hollywood ‘soundtracker’ has been seen in Parker, The Crossing, Wrath of the Titans, This Means War and Ron Howard’s Rush trailer. His career is in a constant accelerating push to the top and 2016 was no exception. Venturing to Seoul to perform in South Korea for the first time ever, he celebrated stand out performances around the globe in Los Angeles, New York, Argentina and several other night long sets as well.
Furthering his cinematic endeavors, Eelke Kleijn released his bootleg for The Hunger Games song “The Hanging Tree” by James Newton Howard featuring leading lady Jennifer Lawrence. Having also built a new studio last year, Eelke spent much of his time creating new music leading up to the launch of his new imprint DAYS like NIGHTS.
Mladen Tomic joins Safehouse Radio every Tuesday at 9pm delivering a hypnotic compound of techno and tech-house, further enhanced by the powerful groove and bass lines which characterise the sets of Mladen Tomic, Bosnian DJ and producer, who has won the hearts of clubbers across the globe.

His personal work, recognised and supported by both prominent artists and owners of famous record labels such as Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Monika Kruse, Umek, Popof, Adam Beyer, Stefano Noferini and others, have catapulted him to among the best, and opened the doors of the most prestigious clubs and festivals around the world.
Performances all over Europe (Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, England, Scotland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium …), America (USA, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica) and Canada are testimony of that. With a highly acclaimed series of original tracks, production is still the centre of Mladen’s business with regular releases on renowned labels such as Sci + Tec, Suara, Terminal M, Octopus, Form, 1605, Definitive, 100% Pure, Deeperfect and Stereo Productions.
In March 2012, Mladen and Sian’s joint single “Front Pocket”, remixed by Nicole Moudaber, reached number 1 on the Beatport Techno charts and the original mix No.3. In the January 2013 edition of Techno Tools Vol.1 on the famous Suara label, was a great success – up to four compositions were in the techno Top 20, and two in the Top 10, with “Physical Level”, on the 4th and “Tune” in 8th place in the techno charts. Mladen’s remix of “Airscape” by Stefano Noferini found itself in the seventh place on the Beatport techno list. The famous track ‘’Before Sunset” from 2009 has also been a huge worldwide success, and it has been ranked 12th on the tech house list. “Solar Wind”, which was released on Sci + Tec, was one of the most played tracks in Dubfire’s sets in 2014 and was positioned 12th on the Beatport techno chart. “730 Drink” on Night Light Records was on the 9th Essential mix of Richie Hawtin and “West Beach” and “Inside The Bootle”, (which has also appeared on Night Light Records), found themselves in almost every one of Richi’s sets in Ibiza in 2014 and 2015.
An equally large success has been achieved by “Dance of Shadows”, “Global Mind”, “True Story”, “Under The Fool Moon”, “Tangas”, “Lady In The House”, “Green Cubes” and so on.
It is also important to mention the successful remixes produced by Mladen for famous artists, including Mauro Picotto, Sebastian Leger, Cristian Varela, Stefano Noferini, Chus & Ceballos, ANNA, Manuel De La Mare, Paolo Mojo, Marko Nastic and Boris.
Mladen’s career began way back in 1999, when he joined forces with Sinisa Tamamović to promote events in their native Banja Luka and toured the Western Balkans. They soon founded their own label, Night Light Records, which is now the synonym for quality, innovation and releases that are always one step ahead.
Mladen’s mission is to travel around the world, conveying his unique vision of music to people with an open mind and heart.
