Pifa Housework

Additional Info

Join Pifa on the 4th Monday 6-8pm monthly for a mix of new tech house with ambient and melodic breaks, blended with some deep house cheeky little numbers.  Exclusive to safehouse Radio!

I first started to learn how to mix in the 90’s by watching a DJ, in a club I frequented every weekend and most week days too it fascinated me. I bought two (belt driven decks) and just couldn’t get it to sound right. I later learned that direct drive decks were more consistent. After a while I started warming up for this DJ. Just for an hour or so. I later was offered the residency on Friday nights, playing new and old favourite house tunes. The club had a guest promotion come and take over on Sunday afternoons. “Full Circle” was the place to be after a week end of clubbing. 12 midday to late evening with some fabulous DJ’s.  One of my highlights was mixing up a few tunes before Carl Cox’s set!   I had the pleasure and dear memory of playing the last ever night at Club Greyhound.

Other places as a Guest DJ;
Studio 412 - Slough
The Queens Arms - London
The London Apprentice
Lush - Middlesex
Many private party’s

My full time work then took over and I missed the CD mixing all together and so from Vinyl I leant to mix on Virtual DJ and later Tractor.
I have never claimed to be a fantastic mixer but I always knew what to play to get people on the floor and have built up a steady fan base. Some very loyal for many years.  I am very much looking forward to this monthly residency on Safehouse Radio and hope you enjoy.  Please feel free to leave any comments below.
