Mikey Jay spins his magic every 3rd Wednesday from 11pm with the greatest techno sounds around with his show Symbolism.
Many years a raver, many years a DJ, Mikey has an unwavering passion for what he does and the music he loves.
His taste is by no means exclusive, drawing on influences from virtually all styles of dance music over the last 30 years.
Whilst he can enjoy most styles, it is Techno that makes his heart beat deeply, right from the early days of Reactivate and the work of greats such as CJ Bolland, Sven Vath, Mentasm and Joey Beltram.
In the UK he was an avid fan of Colin Faver and Colin Dale, slamming out techno on Kiss when it was still a pirate station.
In the mid 90s, when the "age of the superclub" hit, Mikey was far happier in the legendary Club UK in Wandsworth, in the Tribal Temple where he was a regular, or its reincarnation, The Complex in Islington. He was also proud to be a member of the exclusive techno cult, "Lost".
Mikey loves progressive and melodic Techno/House and the whole "renaissance sound" but it is the harder edged pumping/acid techno that he spins these days.
"Symbolism" on Safehouse, is about symbolising techno in its many forms, a blend of dark and light sounds, drawing influences from any of the many that Mikey loves to play.
Expect surprises. Expect underground. Expect pounding acid techno!
The name says it all! Bassline Ben brings a unique blend of Acid Trance to the Safehouse Radio airwaves with his show Acid Scum every 3rd Wednesday. He sets the stage perfectly for Brothers Grimm with 2 hours of quality filth. Love it!!!
Bassline Ben has been mixing since 2001 and started off by playing early Hardcore Techno, Acid Trance and Hard House. Having experienced various different underground electronic dance music genres as a party-goer, DJing at clubs and organising events in the South West, he discovered Acid Techno and has been inspired by its ethos which has remained his passion both as a fan and DJ.
Bassline Ben is now hosting Acid Scum on Safehouse Radio and is planning to DJ at and organise future events, recently setting up Ocean City Acid Junkies, which aims to bring together banging underground DJ's, musicians and fans from all over the South West.

If you like it hard and you like it fast, look no further than Safehouse Radio & Enter Your Mind every 2nd Wednesday from 9pm, for 2 hours of in-your-face largeness with Mind Control.
Mind Control initially got into dance music in his teens around 2004 and was introduced to hardcore and began listening to this until he heard Mark E.G & M-Zone who completely changed his preference of dance music to the harder edged sounds of European hard trance and hardstyle.
He first ventured out raving after he had just turned 17 and went to Atmosphere at The Grove in Seaton which and was immediately hooked on the vibe and regularly attended the Atmosphere events until its final event in 2014. After hearing Sam Punk at Atmosphere in 2006 playing a hardstyle set this changed his preference of style for dance music towards hardstyle from hard trance which was further enhanced after going to Westfest that year and seeing hardstyle artists such as DJ Zany and Technoboy. Mind Control has loved hardstyle ever since and although hard trance is always a love of his, his preference has been hardstyle and he has been to large festivals in Holland including Defqon 1, Decibel and Qlimax which all showcase the hardstyle sound.
He started DJing in 2010 and brought his first set of vinyl decks mixing hard trance and hardstyle which is where his passion for dance music has always leant towards. Around 2013 his preference for music style got even harder with the introduction of raw hardstyle which he started mixing and is a combination of hardstyle and Dutch hardcore techno and leans more towards the early hardstyle sound.
His biggest musical influences are Gunz For Hire, Delete, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Coone and D Sturb among others. His passion and love for the music has always been consistent and in 2020 he was given the opportunity to came to Safehouse Radio and share my love for the harder styles with its listeners.
